Corporate Governance

NIS is dedicated to the application of high standards of Corporate Governance based on internationally recognized standards and best practices.

Efficient operation of NIS management bodies ensures consistent development of the company, and represents a pledge of trust of shareholders, investors and partners. According to the Articles of Association, the structure of the management bodies of NIS consists of the following: the Shareholders Assembly, the Board of Directors, the Advisory Board and the individual executive management body (Chief Executive Officer).

The Shareholders Assembly is the highest body of NIS, through which the shareholders pass and approve the basic corporate decisions.

The Board of Directors plays a central role in the corporate governance system and is collectively responsible for the long-term success of the company, including overseeing and setting the corporate strategy and establishing the business goals of the company.

The Advisory Board of the CEO is the professional body that helps the CEO in his activities and in the consideration of matters within his responsibilities. The CEO Advisory Board is managed by the CEO and provides him with assistance in relation to the issues concerning the Company’s business operations management.

  • Vadim Yakovlev

    Chairman of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors

    Deputy Chairman of PJSC “Gazprom Neft” Management Board, Deputy of PJSC “Gazprom Neft” CEO in charge of exploration and production including offshore, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions

    Born on September 30, 1970 in Sharkan, USSR.

    In 1993, Mr. Yakovlev graduated from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, Department of Applied Nuclear Physics. Mr. Yakovlev graduated from the Faculty of Finance at the International University in Moscow in 1995. Since 1999, he has been a qualified member of the ACCA (Chartered Association of Certified Accountants). In 2009, he earned a degree from the British Institute of Directors (IoD).

    During his employment with PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1995 to 2000, Mr. Yakovlev held various positions, starting from a Consultant to being promoted to Audit Manager. In the period from 2001 to 2002, he served as Deputy Head of Financial and Economics Department, YUKOS EP c.j.s.c. From 2003 to 2004, he was Financial Director of Yugansk Neftegaz, NK Yukos. From 2005 to 2006, Mr. Yakovlev held the position of Deputy General Director in charge of economy and finance at SIBUR-Russian Tyres. From 2007 to 2010 – „Gazprom neft“ PJSC Deputy CEO in charge for economics and finance. From 2007 – Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of „Gazprom neft“ PJSC. From 2010 to 2011 – First Deputy CEO – „Gazprom neft“ PJSC Financial Director. From 2011 he was at the post of the „Gazprom neft“ PJSC First Deputy CEO.

    As of 2019 he holds the post of the „Gazprom neft“ PJSC Deputy CEO in charge of exploration and production.

    Mr. Yakovlev was elected member of the NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors as of 10 February 2009. and he was elected Chairman of the NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors as of 31 July 2009.

  • Kirill Tyurdenev

    CEO of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad, Member of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors

    Born 1977.

    He undertook studies at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), graduating from the Faculty of International Relations with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations (with honors), and subsequently earning his Master’s degree in International Law (with honors). He also obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from the University of Manchester and completed executive education programs at INSEAD and London Business School.

    From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Tyurdenev worked for A.T. Kearney and Unilever and in 2004 he joined McKinsey & Co. From 2007 to 2012, Mr. Tyurdenev worked for Sibur Fertilizers as Deputy CEO for Strategy and Business Development. From 2012, he served as Executive Vice President and a member of the Management Board in JSFC Sistema. Prior to joining NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad, Kirill Tyurdenev held the positions of the President and Chairman of the Board at United Petrochemical Company, which at that time was part of the JSFC Sistema group, and of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ufaorgsintez.

    In April 2016, Kirill Tyurdenev joined NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad as First Deputy CEO for Refining and Sales.

    In December 2016, he was elected member of the Board of Directors, and in March 2017 he was appointed CEO of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad

  • Pavel Oderov

    Member of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors

    Deputy CEO for Foreign economic activities PJSC “Gazprom Neft”

    Born on 26.06.1979 in city of Elektrostal, Moskovskaya oblast.

    In 2000, Mr. Oderov graduated from the National University of Oil and Gas “Gubkin University”, Faculty of Economics;
    In 2002, he graduated from the National University of Oil and Gas “Gubkin University”, Faculty of Management;

    In the period from October 2002 to June 2007 He held positions such as leading expert, head of a section, deputy heat of Department in the field of marketing of Lukoil-Neftekhim ZAO.

    From September 2007 to February 2020 he held various managerial positions within the „Gazprom“ Group.

    Since 23.06.2017, Mr. Oderov is Chairman of the Board of Directors of South Stream Serbia AG.

    From February 2020 to the present he has served as JSC Gazprom neft Deputy CEO for Foreign economic activities, since the May 2020 he is a member of  Management board of PJSC “Gazprom – neft”.

    Mr. Oderov was elected member of the NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors as of 25 March 2020

  • Danica Drašković

    Member of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors

    Born оn November 14, 1945 in Kolašin, Montenegro.

    Ms. Drašković graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade in 1968.

    From 1968 to 1990, she worked in the field of finance in the banking sector, and in the field of law and commerce within the economy sector, and as a Belgrade City Magistrate. Ms. Drašković is the owner of the publishing house “Srpska reč”, founded in 1990. She is the author of three books written in the opinion journalism style.

    From 1 April 2009 to 18 June 2013, Ms. Danica Drašković was a member of the NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors, being re-elected on 30 June 2014.

  • Alexey Yankevich

    Member of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors

    Deputy CEO for Economics and Finance “Gazprom Neft” PJSC

    Born on December 19, 1973 in Leningrad, USSR.

    In 1997, Mr. Yankevich graduated from Saint-Petersburg State Electrical Engineering University (“LETI”), majoring in optical and electronic instruments and systems. In 1998, he completed a course at LETI-Lovanium International School of Management in Saint-Petersburg.

    Mr. Yankevich was employed with CARANA, a consulting company from 1998 to 2001. In the period from 2001 to 2005 he served as Deputy Head of Planning, Budgeting and Controlling Department at YUKOS RM o.j.s.c. (business unit responsible for logistics and downstream operations). In 2004, he became a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). From 2005 to 2007 he worked as deputy CFO at LLK-International (production and sale of lubricants and special petroleum products; part of the LUKOIL group). From 2007 to 2011 he held the post of Head of the Planning and Budgeting Department, and was Head of Economics and Corporate Planning Department at “Gazprom Neft” PJSC.

    Since August 2011 he has served as acting Deputy CEO for Economics and Finance at “Gazprom Neft” PJSC. Mr. Yankevich has been a memeber of the Management Board of “Gazprom Neft” PJSC and Deputy CEO “Gazprom Neft” PJSC for Economics and Finance since March 2012.

    Mr. Yankevich was elected member of the NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors as of 18 June 2013.

  • Dmitry Shepelskiy

    Member of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors

    Head of Department for coordination of Sales of petroleum products of PJSC “Gazprom Neft”

    Born 1970.

    In 1993, Mr. Shepelsky graduated from the  Moscow Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation.

    In the early stage of his career, Mr. Shepelsky held positions of Deputy Head of Department for supply of petroleum products – Head of Directorate  PJSC “Gazprom Neft”.

    At the present Mr. Shepelsky serves as Head of Department for coordination of Sales of petroleum products, PJSC “Gazprom Neft”.

    Mr. Shepelsky was elected member of the NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors as of 29 June 2021.

  • Dejan Radenković

    Member of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors

    Born on 09.09.1971 in Priština.

    Elementary and high education completed in Priština, graduated from the Economy faculty in Priština and awarded a Master degree in the field of Economy from the EDUCONS University.

    Mr Radenković has started his professional experience with Company for trade and services „Balkan auto“ in Priština and CC PTT „Serbia“. As of 2005 he was at the post of Director of „Orbita“ j.s.c. and from 2010 he was with  the „Ratko Mitrović“ j.s.c., at the post of General manager, Executive manager and member of the Board of Directors. He held the post of member of the Board of Directors of the Economy faculty in Priština, Deputy General manager of the First Global Brokers company from Belgrade. He was Chairman of the Board for supervision of operations and Member of the Board of Directors of Dunav Bank j.s.c. Zvečan, where he also held the post of the Chairman of the Board of Directors. From 2013 to 2017 he was a member of the Supervisory Board of the JV „Lasta“ j.s.c. Belgrade.

    He is a member of the Board for supervision of operations of the „MTS bank“ j.s.c. Belgrade at the present.

    He is a member of the Socialist Party of Serbia and he was elected member of the Parliament of Republic of Serbia in 2008, 2012, 2014 and 2016.

    He was elected member of the NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors as of 27.06.2019.

  • Alexander Chepurin

    Independent Member of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors

    Born on 20 September 1952 in Stavropol Krai in Russia (USSR).

    Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University) in 1975.

    A career diplomat, from 1975 onwards Mr. Chepurin worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR and later, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

    From 1986 to 1992, he headed the Economy group of the Embassy of the USSR (Russia) in Italy. From 1994 to 1996, he was Director of one of the leading Departments in the Ministry, the Human Ressources Department. From 1994 to 1997 he was also a member of the United Nations International Civil Service Commission in New York (ICSC). As from 1996 to 2000 he was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Denmark.

    From 2005 to 2012, Mr. Chepurin was Director of the Russian Federation Ministry of Foreign Affairs Department for Relations with Compatriots Abroad.

    From 2012 to June 2019, he served as Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia. He has the rank of  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary  and several Russian and Serbian state orders and medals.

    In 2009, he was awarded a PhD Degree in Political Science.

    From 2012 to 2019 Mr. Chepurin closely dealt with issues of cooperation development between Russian energy companies and the Republic of Serbia, focusing on strengthening cooperation between Russian and Serbian energy companies. He is a member of the Russian international affairs council.

    Mr. Chepurin was elected independent member of the NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors as of 27.06.2019.

  • Anatoly Cherner

    Member of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors

    Deputy Chairman of the PJSC “Gazprom Neft” Executive Board, Deputy CEO for Logistics, Refining and Sales at PJSC “Gazprom Neft

    Born on August 27, 1954 in Grozny, USSR.

    Mr. Cherner graduated from Grozny Oil Institute in 1976 with a degree in chemical oil and gas engineering.

    In the same year he was employed at the Sheripov Grozny Refinery, starting as an operator to become refinery director in 1993. In 1996, he joined SlavNeft as Head of the Oil and Oil Products Trading Department and was later appointed Vice-Chairman of the company. He joined SibNeft (from June 2006 – “Gazprom Neft” PJSC) as Vice-Chairman for refining and marketing in April 2006. In December 2007 he was appointed Deputy CEO for logistics, refining and sales in “Gazprom Neft“ PJSC.

    Mr. Cherner was elected member of the NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors as of 10 February 2009.

  • Olga Vysotskaia

    Independent Member of NIS j.s.c.Novi Sad Board of Directors

    Born on February 28, in 1961 in Leningrad, USSR.

    Graduated cum laude from the Leningrad State University in 1984, from the Department of Economy Cybernetics, with specialisation in economic mathematics. Post-graduate studies in mathematical cybernetics at the Institute of social and economic studies of the USSR Academy of science, Leningrad division, in 1987. Completed the MBA at Bristol University in 1998. Earned the Professional independent director diploma from the London Institute of Directors in 2009.

    She held the position of Chair of the Board of Directors (BoD), CEO, Chair of science and production companies from 1988 to 1995, and she was Director of many private companies. From 1995 to 2003 she held various partner positions with KPMG in New York and Moscow. From 2003 to 2005 she was person in charge of Internal audit Directorate of Yukos“, Moscow. From 2005 to 2008 she was Consulting services Executive partner of Deloitte&Touche, From 2006 to 2013 she held positions of independent member of the BoD, Chair of the Audit Commission, member of the Strategy Commission, member of the Remuneration Commission of “EM – alliance” and “KIT Finance“, as well as independent member of the Audit Commission of OJSC Baltika“. From 2012 to 2013 she was a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and from 2013 to 2014 – independent member of the CJSC NefteTransServiceBoard of Directors, Chair of the Audit Commission, member of Remuneration Commission. As of 2013 she is holding position of independent member of LTD “ÏNK” BoD and from 2015 to 2018 she held position of independent member of BoD of JSC “SUEK”.

    Ms Vysotskaia was elected member of the NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors as of 21 June 2018.

  • Dragutin Matanović

    Member of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors

    Born on 13.10.1954 in Belgrade.

    Batchelor of Electric Engineering (BEE).

    He was employed at the position of electric engineer at the Company „Lola računari“ in Belgrade.

    Director of the  Company „Lola računari“ in Belgrade.

    He was elected member of the NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors as of 06.09.2019.

  • Kirill Tyurdenev

    CEO of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad, Member of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Board of Directors

    Born on 19 April 1977.

    He graduated with honors from Faculty of International Relations with a bachelor’s degree and later with a master degree in International Law (with specialization) at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). He also obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from the University of Manchester. Completed executive education programme at international business school INSEAD and London Business School.

From 2007 through 2012, he worked for Sibur Mineral Fertilizers as Deputy CEO for Strategy and Corporate Development. From 2012 he served as Executive Vice President and Board member in JSFC Sistema. Before joining NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad Kirill Tyurdenev occupied the position of the President and Board Chair in United Petrochemical Company which, at that moment, was part of the JSFC Sistema group, and as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ufaorgsintez.

    On April 2016 Kirill Tyurdenev joined NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad as First Deputy CEO for Refining and Sales.

    On December 8, 2016, he was elected as member of the Board of Directors, and on March 22, 2017 he was appointed as CEO of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad.

  • Gennady Lyubin

    First Deputy CEO for Exploration and Production

    Gennady Lyubin was born in 1965, in the town of Malgobek, Chechen-Ingush ASSR. In 1990, he graduated from the Grozny State Oil Technical University with a degree in technology and complex mechanization of the oil deposits development.

    His career began in 1990, when he started as an oil and gas production operator. Within next three years, he became first manager of an oil and gas production unit, and then chief engineer of the production department of Harampurneft, RN-Purneftegaz. In 1998, he joined Tarasovskneft of RN-Purneftegaz as head of production department. From 1998 to 2001, he led the oil and gas production department of Zapolyarneft, Noyabrskneftegaz. From 2001 to 2002, he held the position of manager for the Palyanovski oil production project. Between 2002 and 2005, he served as Deputy CEO for new projects in Noyabrskneftegaz. From 2005 to 2008, he was CEO of Gazprom Neft-Hantos, and in the period between 2008 and 2011, worked as CEO of Gazprom Neft-Noyabrskneftegaz. From 2011 to 2013, Lybin worked as Executive Director for the Implementation of Russian Projects of Gazprom Neft Development, then as Executive Director of Gazprom Neft Shelf, and then as Acting CEO of Gazprom Neft Shelf.

    From 2014 to 2017, he occupied the CEO post in Gazprom Neft Shelf, and in 2017 became Executive Director of Gazprom Neft Development. Lyubin took the position of First Deputy CEO of NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad in August 2018.

  • Andrey Tuchnin

    First Deputy CEO – Head of Downstream Division

    Tuchnin graduated in 1996 from the School of International Economic Relations under the Moscow State University of International Relations.

    From 1996 to 2001, he worked at Alfa-EKO, where he made his way up from manager to head of oil export sector.

    A year later Tuchnin joined SIBUR, where he first led the Liquid Petrochemicals Sales Sector, and later the LPG Sales Sector.

    In 2006, he took the position of Deputy CEO of YUKOS Export Trade. He was responsible for sales and export of all petroleum products and petrochemicals produced by YUKOS.

    Tuchnin continued his career at Rosneft, where he worked from 2007 to 2012 as Deputy Director of Oil and Petroleum Export Sector. At the same time, he worked as CEO of RN-Bunker, the newly founded subsidiary of Rosneft that in less than three years became the leader of the Russian bunkering market.

    In 2012, Tuchnin joined Magnatek, Russia’s biggest independent trading company, where he was involved in organizing the processing of Russian crude at a refinery in Kazakhstan.

    From 2013 to 2014, he worked for the United Petrochemical Company, where he was responsible for setting up operations of an independent petrochemicals business of AFK Sistema.

    Prior to joining NIS in June 2017, he held the position of Deputy CEO for Commercial Affairs at Ufaorgsintez, one of Russia’s biggest polymer and phenol manufacturers.

  • Alexey Chernikov

    Head of Sales and Distribution Block

    Chernikov was born on September 1, 1975, in Yekaterinburg, Russian Federation.

    In 1997, he got his first degree from the Ural State Academy of Transport. In 2002, he graduated from the International Finance and Banking School in Moscow, then in 2012 from the INSEAD Business School, and in 2013 from the Stockholm School of Economics. In 2000, Chernikov joined Russia’s Sverdlovsknefteprodukt as Deputy Head of Petroleum Sales Department, and then became Head of the Department less than a year later. In 2002, he started working for the Yekaterinburg Petroleum Products Company as Commercial Director, then in 2005, transferred to the same position back to Sverdlovsknefteprodukt. In 2008, he joined Gazprom Neft as CEO of the subsidiary Gazpromneft-Chelyabinsk. From 2013 to March 2015, he was the CEO of Gazpromneft-Ural, and the Gazpromneft-Tyumen.

    In March 2015, Alexey Chernikov joined NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad as Director of Sales and Distribution Block.

  • Vladimir Gagić

    Director for Refining

    Vladimir Gagić was born on September 23, 1969, in Zadar, Croatia.

    He graduated from the Technology and Metallurgy Faculty of the Belgrade University in 1993. He gained his first experience in process engineering at the Atmospheric Distillation Unit of the Pančevo Oil Refinery, which he joined in 1996. The logical next step of his career was the position of Head of the Atmospheric Distillation Unit, where he was quite successful despite the challenges presented by economic sanctions. He continuously expanded and broadened his extensive theoretical knowledge by testing it in practice and exchanging experiences with colleagues in all other refinery units. Having gained excellent practical knowledge in all segments of the refining process, Gagic took considerable part in the modernization of refining at the Development and Investment Sector. This was followed by his appointment to the position of Director of the Pančevo Oil Refinery, and then Deputy Director of the Pančevo Oil Refinery.

    He became Director of the Refining Block in 2015, after successfully achieving his targets in the role of Director of the Technical Department within the Block.

  • Vyacheslav Zavgorodniy

    Deputy CEO, Head of Strategy and Investment Function

    Vyacheslav Zavgorodniy was born on August 7, 1975. In 1998, he graduated from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics with a degree in finance. During his studies, he spent a year at the Gothenburg University in Sweden. Also in 1998, he received a degree in business administration from the City College London. In 2005, he completed an MBA program at INSEAD.

    He started his career in 1997 at AGA AB and Columbus IT Partner as a consultant for implementation of the Concord ERP system in various companies, including the Tatneft oil company and the Henkel Ecolab trade center. After that Zavgorodniy joined Lukoil, where worked for three years as chief expert of the Merger and Acquisition Department. In 2006, he took the position at McKinsey&Co as consultant on projects for leading companies in the Russian Federation in a range of business areas: petrochemical, banking, telecommunication industry, pipe manufacturing, etc. Before joining NIS, he spent seven years in the Severstal group of companies as Director for Strategy and Business Development.

    In May 2017, he was appointed Deputy CEO, Head of Strategy and Investment Function of NIS.

    Zavgorodnii is fluent in English, Swedish and Serbian, and speaks basic French.

  • Anton Cherepanov

    Deputy CEO, Director Function for Finance, Economics, Planning and Accounting

    Cherepanov graduated with honors from the Udmurt State University in 2006 with a degree in Economics and Management in Oil and Gas. He also has higher education in the legal field and holds a diploma in English translation studies.

    In 2002, he started working at the Votkinsk Oil and Gas Production Administration of Udmurtneft as part of the HSE Service. From 2003 to 2004, he worked as an expert in the financial department of TKRS LLC. From 2005 to 2006, he worked as leading engineer in the Finance and Economics Block of Udmurtneft (a subsidiary of TNK-BP).

    From 2006 to 2008, Cherepanov worked at various positions at the TNK-BP holding company in Moscow. In 2008, he joined Gazprom Neft, where he occupied a number of positions from leading expert of Investments and Production Efficiency Department to manager of Business Efficiency Division. In 2013, he graduated from the Large Projects Management Academy of Gazprom Neft at the Skolkovo Innovation Centre in Moscow. In 2015, he joined ARKTIKGAZ (a joint company of Gazprom Neft and NOVATEK) as Deputy CFO.

    Since December 2018, he holds the position of Deputy CEO, Director of Function for Finance, Economics, Planning and Accounting, at NIS.

    Cherepanov is married and has three children.

  • Sergey Fominykh

    Deputy CEO, Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs Function

    Sergey Fominykh was born on January 4, 1979, in the Russian Federation.

    He is an executive with a legal background, holding the MBA degree from IMD Business School (Switzerland).

    Having worked for seven years in international law firms, Sergey joined the NIS a.d. Novi Sad management team in July 2009 as the Director of the Legal Monitoring Directorate. In November 2010, he was appointed Deputy CEO, Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs Function in NIS a.d. Novi Sad. Sergey is responsible for managing a team in charge of the company’s legal support, corporate management and real estate management.

    Sergey is representing NIS in the Board of Directors of Gazprom Energoholding Serbia, heading its Committee of Experts.

  • Miloš Grbić

    Deputy CEO, Director of Procurement Function

    Miloš Grbić was born in Belgrade in 1979.

    In 2004, he graduated from the Economics Department of the Gubkin Russian State University for Oil and Gas. A year later, he obtained a Master’s degree from the French Petroleum Institute in Paris. Same year, he started working for Deloitte as a Management Consultant in Moscow, and then from 2006 to 2009 worked for Accenture as Supply Chain Manager responsible for the implementation of logistics projects and the SAP ERP system deployment.

    Grbić joined NIS in 2009 as Sector Director in the newly formed Function for Procurement and Capital Construction, and worked on the establishment of a unified centralised procurement system. From 2011 to 2013, he was Director of Planning and Analysis Department in the Procurement Function. In January 2013, he took the post of Deputy CEO and Director of Procurement at Gazprom Neft Orenburg, where he was responsible for the introduction of corporate templates and the consolidation of procurement processes in company. In November 2014, he returned to NIS as the Deputy Director of Procurement Function.

    He has been Acting Director of Procurement Function since January 2019. From April 2020 he took the post of Deputy CEO and Director of Procurement Function at NIS.

  • Igor Chernov

    Deputy CEO, Director of Corporate Security Function

    In 1964, he was born in the town of Rybinsk, Russian Federation. He holds two University degrees in military sciences, following which he acquired extensive professional experience as corporate security expert. Among other jobs, he held the position of Head of Corporate Security Department of the Company “Slavneft-Yaroslavnefteorgsintez”, and he worked as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for an investment company “YarFinvest”. In 2009, he joined this company in the capacity of advisor to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer Corporate Security.

    In June 2021, he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer – Corporate Security Function Director.

  • Natalia Bylenok

    Deputy CEO, Head of Function for Organizational Affairs

    Natalia Bylenok was born in the Russian Federation in 1970. She graduated from Bryansk State University in 1992, majoring in History and Law. Two years later, she received a psychology degree at the Faculty of Psychology of the Bryansk State University.

    Bylenok started her career in 1997 at the Professional Orientation and Psychological Support Centre as Head of the Science and Methodology Department and Consulting Psychologist. In 2000, she moved to Melkruk and was appointed Deputy Head of the HR Section. She then worked as HR Director at Desnol, and later as CEO at several Desnol subsidiaries. She held the position of HR Director at Rositi for two years, between 2006 and 2009. After that, she joined Gazprom Neft as Head of HR Administration at the Department of Regional Sales.

    She continued her professional development while building her career. In 2009, she graduated from the MIRBIS Business School in Moscow majoring in Human Resource Management. She pursued professional development at Gazprom Neft, where she successfully completed the corporate MBA program provided by the Stockholm School of Economics.

  • Vadim Smirnov

    Deputy CEO, Director of the Function for Government Relations and Corporate Communications

    Born on 10th October 1963 in Kazakhstan. In 1985, he acquired a title of engineer for ship power engines. Other than that, he graduated from Diplomatic Academy (in 1994 in Moscow), and High Commercial School (in 1999 in Moscow), majoring in Finance and Audit. Between 1985 and 1991, he served in the Navy in various positions. Between 1994 and 1998, he was on staff of Russia’s Foreign Ministry, his duties including lengthy business trips to the Balkans. Between 1998 and 2009, he held various positions with Russia’s national air carrier Aeroflot, including the position of the Balkan countries general manager (six years), as well as the position of Head of Department for Controlling Finance and Foreign Currency Operations in Foreign Representation offices (two years).

    Since 2010, he dealt with economic security within Gazprom Group, and as of February 2012, he becomes Internal Audit Director. Following that, he was appointed CEO of NIS affiliate in Romania, NIS Petrol. In addition to this position, in July 2017, he was also appointed Deputy CEO of NIS, acting Public Relations and Communications Director. In April this year, he was promoted to the acting Director of the Function for government relations and corporate communications . In July 2018, he was appointed Deputy CEO, Director of the Function for government relations and corporate communications.

  • Mikhail Ryazanov

    Director of the HSE Function

    Mikhail Ryazanov was born on April 6, 1969.

    He graduated from the Vladimir State Technical University with a degree in civil engineering. In 1997, he graduated from the Moscow University for the Humanities with a degree in jurisprudence. In 2009, he got an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics in Russia.

    Until 2000, Ryazanov worked in the legal field. In 2000, he joined DuPont as consultant for HSE management system establishment. From 2005, he led HSE function in various major mining and metallurgical companies in Russia and Ukraine (Severstal-Resurs, Russia; DTEK, Ukraine; ALROSA, Russia). In January 2020, Mikhail joined NIS as director of HSE Function.

  • Jelena Popara

    Director of the Function for Internal Audit and Risk Management

    Jelena Popara was born on 19 April 1980 in Belgrade.

    In 2004, she graduated from the Belgrade Faculty of Economics with a degree in finance, accounting and audit. She obtained the ACCA international accounting and auditing license in 2012. She has worked as a consultant in KPMG Belgrade from 2005 to 2010. In 2010, she joined the NIS management team and from 2013 worked as CFO in the NIS’ subsidiary in Romania.

    In March 2016, she was appointed Director of the Internal Audit Function.
